Brand Business Division’ First Attendance to MIPCO 09.10.30

In October the Brand Business Division on behalf of Alpha Animation attended MIPDOC held in Cannes, France. MIPTV/MIPCOM, the biggest and the most influential international trade market in the field at present organized by the world famous exhibition organization Reed Midem and only accessible for insiders as exhibitors. The seasonal event is hold in the form of MIPTV (spring season)/MIPCOM (autumn season), which is a comprehensive cross-platform content market, covering TV plays, movies, animation, documentaries, variety shows, music, sports, travel shows and other contents and forms. 13, 360 representatives from 111 countries and regions had attended the 2009 MIPCOM, including 4422 buyers, and the total area of exhibition stand covered over 20,000 square meters. Zhongnan Cartoon showed video clips of completed films of “Eye of Heaven” and “Magic Wonderland” and developing films of “RUBI”, “Front Speed Men” at MIPTV held in April 2009, and attracted visitors to enter into international sales contracts of around one billion dollars. Therefore, we attended this MIPCOM in the hope that we could achieve following goals:
  

To develop overseas copyright customers: At present our overseas copyright business are mainly developed based on original overseas toy distributors, and we attended this exhibition to develop professional overseas copyright customers, including overseas TV station, animation agencies, derivative music developers, etc, and to create marketing channels for overseas copyright.
  

To explore markets in the US and Europe: At present our toys are in a strong position in domestic market, while our company enjoys less awareness in international films and televisions as all as animation industry. This exhibition is the most famous exhibition for international films and televisions as well as children programs, so we had this chance to establish brand image of Alpha Animation and to build up company reputation.   
   

To obtain the latest international animation information: This exhibition was a good opportunity for our company to obtain international animation information and to enhance own strength.
  

In order to get the best out of the exhibition, the Brand Business Division leased three standard booths, displaying main promotion episodes of Electro Boy, Armor Hero, Flash & Dash, Go for Speed, Fruity Robo, Imperial Beast Master. With assistance of Creative Division, our booths were specially designed with strong visual impact, earning the nickname of “eye-catcher” among Chinese exhibitors from buyers. In addition, colleagues from Alpha Culture & Overseas Business Division also greatly supports our site promotion, and Cai Lidong, vice-president of Company came in person to the exhibition to guide the promotion and collect and study promotion videos of other exhibitors.
  

As a newer of MIPCOM, we feel mingled joys and worries. The joys are that the exhibition indeed brings our company opportunities, in addition to spot clients, some foreign TV stations, DVD distributors, and even the authorized are all interested in our animations and have strong cooperation intentions. While our worries are that compared with world top animation companies, we are far behind. Therefore, how to reduce the distance and how to establish a favorable position of Alpha in world animation program market will be our future directions.
